Our humble abode

We have only 2 accommodation styles on offer. Both are suitable for couples looking to that extra space or families with up to two children. Rooms are spacious, modern and full of character.

We have a shared cosy kitchen for guests to enjoy basic meals as well as an adjacent common room which has a photography theme.

However, we ask that guests do not cook, especially “heavy” meals such as deep fried chicken in the kitchen or anything that involves frying with oil. A number of well recommended restaurants are nearby which are all very reasonable priced.

There is also plenty of balcony space to check out the slow pace of Studor village life.

Vogel/Toplar (Room 1)

Rooms Vogel and Toplar are offered as one combined unit or just room Vogel. It is not possible to book for room Toplar only.

  • Room Vogel is a spacious room for couples looking for that extra space and comfort. It has a balcony and overlooks the ski station of Vogel.
  • Toplar is one of the many names for the unique Slovenian icon, the double hayrack. Other names include Kozolc and Stog. This room with two single beds overlooks not surprisingly one of the many Toplars in the village. Like many other Toplars in the area, this one is still in use today to store hay, farming machinery and for drying produce from the garden.

Pokljuka/Kredarica (Room 2)

The apartment  is divided into two sections. The lower level – room Pokljuka – has a couch which can be a single bed, a sitting lounge area and bathroom. The Kredarica attic area above has a king-sized bed.

The high plains of Pokljuka and the cottage of Kredarica have a special place in all Slovenian hearts. Pokljuka has an amazingly diverse range of flora and fauna, whilst Kredarica (2514m) being the highest cottage in Slovenia is the overnight stay of choice before attempting the summit of Mt Triglav (2864m) the next day.
